Frequently Asked Questions
What does your catering include?
Our base catering menu offers traditional Neapolitan pizza, salad and lemon ice. In addition, we are happy to create a personalized menu of beverages, antipasti, dessert and additional items to fully supplement your event. Our catering menu can be downloaded here.
All plates, utensils, and napkins are also provided. We give you the option to provide your own. We also provide one 8′ table with cloth to serve the food family style. Additional tables and chairs are available for rental.
How far will you travel?
We will consider all requests to travel throughout the tri-state area. Please note travel fees will apply over 25 miles of White Plains, NY
How far in advance should I schedule with you?
The earlier you make a reservation, the better. All our catering events are booked on a first-come, first-served basis, and we’re particularly busy in the spring and summer months and on holidays.
We generally plan for two events per day, and scheduling as far in advance as possible will help ensure your date is free. If the date you want is already booked, we do keep a waiting list and will notify you if it becomes available.
Is there a minimum number of people required for an event?
No. Our base fee includes up to 25 people, so even if you have just one person who’d like to enjoy fresh, hand-made pizza Napoletana off our truck, we’re happy to oblige.
Is there a maximum number of people you can serve?
We are happy to serve all size parties with a proper menu offering. We will suggest a menu to fit your party size in our proposal.
Do you need a final head-count immediately?
We’ll only need to know your firm head-count one week before your event.
What if I need to cancel?
Any cancellation will forfeit your 50% deposit.
Do you need to cancel in case of rain?
We’re prepared for rain with a tent that will protect our work area and oven. We do suggest, though, that any additional cover from rain or wind to protect your guests be provided by you. If you cancel due to downpouring rain, we reserve the right to offer only one rain date in the current year, or following year based on availability.
Where do you need to park your truck?
Our trucks are from 23’L x 8’W x 8’H to 26’L x 8’W x 12’H. We also work within various size tents. Please note that because of our wood-fired oven, we cannot park inside a garage or building, even if the space is large enough. We are able to park in driveways, parking lots, and even on grassy areas that are firm.
What are some of the other requirements of the truck?
A 110V power outlet will allow us to operate without running our noisy generator.
Can you make special requests like gluten free pizza?
Unfortunately traditional Neapolitan pizza isn’t gluten free and we don’t offer it.
Where did your trucks come from?
We purchased our first 1952 Chevy one-ton truck from a Pennsylvania farmer who kept this beautiful antique in great shape for more than 55 years. Our second truck came from a family of Idaho potato farmers. We then customized the bed of each truck with our wood-burning oven, mahogany trim, and all the necessary sanitation sinks, water, and power.
How is your pizza served?
We offer our pizzas on basic, white paper plates and we can also use something provided by you if you prefer something different.
Do you have a restaurant location?
Due to the high demand of our unique catering service, we focus solely on our mobile oven. We don’t have a brick-and-mortar restaurant. If you’d like to try our pizza before scheduling an event, please contact us to find out when we’ll be in your area at a fair or other public event.
